FORD GPW 'GENERAL PURPOSE WILLYS' 1943 (1943)

US$32,023.80

A great 1943 Ford GPW. A real WW II Ford from the collection of a Jeep enthusiast. This is one of the very early Ford General Purpose Willy`s. When the USA became involved in the war in 1942, the demand for Jeep naturally increased significantly. As the Willy corporation could meet demand, Ford were given a licence to build the Willy MB`s. The Willy MB and the Ford GPW`s were, identical with parts being interchangeable. The only distinction is that Ford embossed their parts with a 'F'. This car has its Jerry can, spare wheel and canvas soft-top. Thanks to a considerable investment in the car, it is in perfect working order. In the past it was completely restored and mechanically overhauled, in keeping with its authentic specifications. The car runs well and drives as expected. A really excellent example of an early 1943 WW II Ford GPW. Gallery Aaldering is Europe's leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975!
