Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a super clean 1999 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. Ford's Special Vehicle Team (SVT) launched in 1993 to turn normal Ford production vehicles into high performance speed machines. Lightning pickup trucks, SVT Contours, and SVT Focus were a few of the models they hopped up. Perhaps the most popular, and certainly the most powerful was the Mustang SVT Cobra. This was the top of the line Mustang which offered a completely different engine vs. the GT Mustang. The 4.6 Liter DOHC 32 Valve V8 was all aluminum and produced 320 horsepower although many claim these were under rated and often put out closer to the high 300s HP range. This gem of an engine mates up to a 5 speed manual transmission which sends power to the rear wheels. Of course, this modern day muscle car comes with a sweet sounding dual exhaust system so you can hear the engine just as much as you can feel it. This is the drop top variant which allows for open air cruising with the touch of a button. Of course you get all the standard goodies: leather seats, air conditioning, AM/FM/CD stereo, power windows, keyless entry, and the list goes on. This one is black on black and the paint has been buffed to a beautiful gloss.
