A collector's dream!

Introduced to the market in 1962, the Maserati Sebring would mark the final generation of the 3500GT series cars. A genuine Italian GT 2+2, the model's moniker was in honor of Maserati's victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1957. The Sebring's stunning appearance was first penned by Giovanni Michelotti who previously designed the 3500 GT Spyder through coachbuilder Vignale of Turin. A steel tubular chassis served as the backbone and held the front independent suspension, live rear axle and four wheel disc brakes. The model was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 1962 and was a sensational success. By now Lucas Fuel Injection was standard equipment and allowed for performance driving in mountain altitude. The interior was lavishly appointed with full leather, power windows and optional equipment including air conditioning. 1965 saw the introduction of the slightly restyled Series II Sebring that featured more modern exterior lights and a retuned 3.5 liter dual overhead cam engine. Wildly coveted by enthusiasts and collectors alike, the Sebring Series II Coupes have a special pedestal in Maserati history for being the final Trident 2+2 coupe to feature the legendary 3500 engine. Only approximately 93 were built before 1967 and examples today are typically only found in some of the world's most premiere collections.

Finished in stunning Azzurro Vincennes with an impeccably-kept Senape leather interior, this beautiful 1965 Maserati 3500 GTi Sebring Coupe by Vignale has been cosmetically restored and is believed to only have traveled 14,477 miles from new. This Series II Sebring was delivered in August 1965 to its first owner in Rome, Italy and until a few years ago was residing in the Netherlands. Still propelled by its numbers matching 3500 GTi engine, this desirable Series II Sebring is accompanied by a certificate from Maserati Classiche and would make a welcome addition to any prominent collection. We are proud to offer what we believe to be one of the very best examples of this rare and desirable model to be found on the market today. Ready to make an investment that you can actually enjoy?
