Inspired by the work of Escher, with Maurits we want to prove that a table doesn’t have to be antique to be an impressive testimony of craftsmanship. The marquetry table top in reclaimed oak contains 222 rhombi cut from old Italian wine barrels. The brass or black powder-coated iron legs compose a delicate inverse coronation. Handmade by master craftsmen in Tuscany, Italy. The tabletop is 10 cm / 4" thick, the height underneath is 68 cm / 26 3/4". Comfortably seats eight. Also available oval (seats 10 or 12).
