Christien Meindertsma designed a series of objects focussing on the craftsmanship of rope making, for T.E. edities, with assistance from the Zuiderzeemuseum. After her research she went back to the origins of 16th-century Dutch rope: flax from the province of Zeeland. The fibres are spun into yarn and then woven, braided, twined and knotted into playful lamps. Available in 5 and 10 meters.
