A rectangular silver photograph frame, inscribed 'Gordon Cup 1933 - Winner C.Pollard', surmounted by crossed golf clubs, with original oak backing and suede lining, hallmarked for Birmingham 1932, mark of EM Ld. In the 1920's and 1930's golf was a very popular sport and it was celebrated in a wide variety of memorabilia, of which photograph frames was but one.
Golfing memorabilia has become a distinct collecting field in its own right over the past 25 years, making this photograph frame much more desirable due to its golfing connection. It is also larger than many other golfing photograph frames and is in mint condition.
