The hinged top mounted with a swiveling timepiece with white enamel dial, Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, hallmarked for London 1910, mark of JCV for John Collard Vickery Ltd, with registered number 478070, the heavy cut glass body with a lozenge-cut base.

The registered number 478070 was registered at the London Patent Office in 1907\\. This protected the design of this Inkwell for seven years, hence the date of manufacture being 1910.
