This remarkable, 4.8 inch fossil shark tooth (_Carcharocles megalodon_) is from Beaufort County, South Carolina. It's an excellently preserved, complete tooth with serrations, complete front enamel and an awesome, pointed tip. No restoration!

_Megalodon_ was the largest predatory fish to ever swim the oceans. Scientists estimate that _Megalodon_ measured 10 feet for every inch of shark tooth length. This monster probably measured nearly 50 feet long!

Astonishingly, _Megalodon_ bite marks have been found in whale bones.

Age: Pliocene Epoch, 5.3 to 2.6 million years old.
