Price On Request

Dimensions (cm): 42 x 17 x 30

Year: 1908

An Edwardian crocodile Documents Box, the sunken flush brass handle engraved 'A.P. from S.P.C July 29, 1908', the black leather-lined interior with letter straps to the interior of the lid, the hinge stamped 'J.T. Needs, 100 New Bond Street, late J Bramah, 124 Piccadilly'.
Housed in its original wool-lined leather case, the top applied with a brass panel holding the calling card of 'Mr Alwyn Parker, 18 Sloane Court'.

Document Boxes would have been used by lawyers, government ministers and other persons of such eminence. To find an example in crocodile complete with its leather protectived outer case is highly unusual. The original owner, Mr Alwyn Parker, is thus likely to have been such a professional and it is unsurprising to note that he lived in an exclusive part of London.
