Yayoi Kusama was born in Matsumoto-shi, Nagano-Ken, Japan in 1929\. Kusama is probably Japan's most famous and premiere artist of the modern era and her art has been described as containing attributes of feminism, minimalism, abstract expressionism and pop art. With multiple, global exhibitions she is arguably one of the hottest properties in the art world currently.
