9 plaques with Saints - cast silver - probably from Rome, Papal States - Italy - 18th century

For collectors of antique religious items, a masterpiece belonging to a noble family of Rome and attributed to the Roman school of the Papal States, of the early 18th century. The lot is composed of 9 plaques in 925 silver, finely hand cast, embossed and engraved with 8 figures of Saints and ecclesiastics, plus a large coat of arms. All the figures have their frames in solid gilded silver, with many decorations, embossed and engraved with spirals and leaves. Size of each plaque: 6.5 x height 7 cm; the weight is between 15 and 17 g, total weight 152 g.The plaques are fitted in the gilded frames with small studs with a thin silver wire, but they can be removed. Preserved in excellent condition, never cleaned for their antique value. They have no hallmarks or stamps, but they were examined and tested!On the last plaque in the photos there are the initials E M B and a crown engraved on the back.Lot of great quality and importance.Trackable insured shipping.
