The ivory Christ made in Romanesque style. It has extensive age wear and traces of repairs to the arms, feet and chest. Dimensions: 38 x 31 cm. The cross made of gilded wood, inlaid with carved yellow stones. It has a very old repair in the middle and a few losses to the gilding. Total height 82 cm. Provenance: collection of Saskia Jüngeling, art dealer in Den Haag, The Netherlands from the early 70’s until the mid 90’s. A CITES appraisal by Taxatiebureau Ruyten is included in the sale.
