Table clock for the English market from around 1920, completely symmetrical veneered walnut case with bronze ornaments on the top, corners and base; the front door with arch and glass, the sides with nice and fine open-work cutting, the hinged back door with glass. Fine wooden case, hinged front door, silver-coloured number ring with Roman numerals, steel hands and bronze corner ornaments, signature 'Jam's Smith – London', above the dial the moon and day indication with number series 1 to 29½, linked to the movement, floral motifs all around.Mechanical movement with escapement and striking mechanism on full and half hours on a spiral gong. Including pendulum and winding key. Prominent clock.Approximate measurements: 29.5 cm wide, 19.5 cm deep, 46.5 cm high.Free registered shipping or pick-up by appointment.
