This is an interesting pair of Chinese antique panels, circa 1890 in date. The panels are carved in solid wood and are painted in red lacquer with gilded highlights, which have partially faded over the years. The panels are profusely decorated with figures and foliage, set against rural surroundings. Most likely the panels used to be part of an item of furniture, anddecorated doors or beds. The panels are set in stylish glazed cherry coloured frames. It is an interesting pair which brings a sense of mystery to your surroundings.
