Antique early-18th Century German 12k solid gold & silver snuff box, of cartouche form, the lid with an oval panel cast with a chinoiserie subject, surrounded by exotic birds and plants, the base engraved with elegant figures near a harbour (Fort Saint-Jean, Marseille) above a blank cartouche. Hallmarked ET (French hallmark used on Foreign unknown articles, 375+% grade of gold)
