A pair of original victorian period paste earrings in 14 karat yellow gold and silver. In excellent condition with their original patina, these earrings are set with a total of four antique European cut pastes mounted into silver with gold lever backings and gold ear wires. Earrings measure 16mm in overall length with a width of 6mm at the widest point. Paste earrings were originally intended to be worn by women in the victorian and georgian times as an alternative to diamond earrings when traveling.
