A beautiful antique art nouveau period Russian brooch in 14 karat yellow gold set with old mine cut diamonds and natural turquoise. Featuring a circle form with a scroll design this brooch fearers four diamonds surrounding a pear shaped natural turquoise of beautiful rich vivid blue color. In excellent condition, the high quality turquoise measures 12mm in length by 9mm in width at the widest point and sits in a handmade yellow gold basket style setting. The four surrounding diamonds weigh a combined 0.24 carats and grade as VS clarity and G/H color. The brooch is hallmarked as being made by known St Petersburg jeweler Unitlander Aleksander Edward who was a master jeweler active in St Petersburg from 1855 to 1918 and who founded a large jewelry manufacturing firm with numerous apprentices and additional master jewelers. In excellent condition this brooch measures 1 1/8 inches in height by 1 1/8 inches in width. Layaway!
