5 Ways to Create a Luxurious Golf Course
Every well-maintained golf course provides a certain level of luxury thanks to the expansive greens, rolling hills, fancy country clubs, and magnificent layouts that have basically become the norm. But what if you want to take your golf course design up a notch and really make your venue stand out with an ultra-luxurious look? Going above and beyond other golf courses can be challenging because in many ways course designers have already done everything there is to do. Luckily, there are still some ways you can stand out, including but not limited to the following 5 value additions:
1. Satellite Trailers for Easier Access to Amenities
Having to walk or buggy all the way back to the club house to use the restroom or freshen up can be a real hassle when you’re in the middle of a competitive match. Thus, why not make things easier for guests by placing a luxury Satellite restroom trailer at the furthest point from the clubhouse. If your course is big enough, you may even want to add one to the middle area as well to ensure there’s always a restroom within close proximity. This is especially beneficial for older guests or those with disabilities who may choose to golf elsewhere if your restroom facilities aren’t easy to access.
2. On-site Dining & Entertainment
Most golf courses have country clubs but not all have their own restaurant inside. Depending on the size and design of your club, you may have to allocate a separate building to serve as a diner or café, but when you consider the extra revenue it can generate it will be well worth the investment. You may want to have the restaurant located near the course entrance if you plan on opening the doors to the general public rather than only serving members. Likewise, you may want to add a stage, bar, theater, or other entertainment style venue to host special events during the evenings.
3. Golf-Oriented Gift Shop
A gift shop is a great way to get visitors and members to spend more and it adds a nice touch to an otherwise empty country club. Plus, selling branded memorabilia is a great way to boost brand awareness in the long-term.
4. Fountains, Waterfalls, and Ponds
Flowing water is always a wonderful design component for complementing a lush green golf course. Plus, water fixtures are generally easy to install, even on a DIY basis, and despite their marvelous look they’re relatively inexpensive compared to other renovation and construction projects.
5. Enhanced Walkways, Bridges, and Signs
Finally, why not spice up the little things that make your course more memorable? Conventional sidewalks don’t give off the same luxurious feel as a cobblestone walkway or other specially designed path. So be sure to take your time when selecting signage and walkway materials.
The WOW Response Is Your Ultimate Goal!
Ultimately, your goal as a golf course designer or owner is to create a venue that’s going to inspire and impress. By implementing the above suggestions, you should have a good starting point for designing a course that will become known as one of the best in its area, worthy of hosting a World Class Tournament.
