Luxury castle for sale dating back to the Xth century and constructed to resist to the Saracen attacks in Italy. Built on a tufa spur, the castle dominates the valley and the surrounding plain offering a splendid view on the Monferrato hills with its vineyards. The structure was first a watch tower, with a barn later incorporated for food reserve.



Under the fortress the first inhabitants of the village settled down. The last feudatories of the village, Gonzaga, enriched the castle with a XIVth century facade, a staircase and two arches that mark the north and south entrance. The last stylistic intervention of the property occurred in 1828, attributed to the architect Bollati who modified the southern facade: it is a facade broken in horizontal, making a terrace on the third floor, from which we enjoy of a wonderful view of the Alps, from Monviso to the Rosa Mount, of the Monferrato hills and of Lomellina plain. Undoubtedly one of the prettiest castles in the region, today this estate is a boutique hotel, it has a total covered surface of 1850 m2, but it is possible to enlarge it realizing 11 bedrooms, living room and meeting room or private apartments. Completing the estate are 7000 m2 of park and garden.
