Rolls-Royce built the Corniche using the best traditions of British coach-building, only using materials of the finest quality, including Wilton carpeting, Connolly hide and burr walnut veneers, a necessarily lengthy process that took all of 20 weeks for the saloon and slightly longer for the more complex convertible. This painstaking attention to detail resulted in a price some 50% higher than the standard Silver Shadow's. Nevertheless, demand for these more glamorous alternatives to the much more numerous Silver Shadow was strong right from the start. The name Corniche was been chosen because it symbolises their higher cruising speeds and their ability to cover greater distances with the minimum of fatigue for driver and passengers,' announced Rolls-Royce.

Our delightful Corniche II convertible was sold new via St Helier Garages Ltd, Jersey to its original owner, Mrs G S Walker. Finished beautifully in its original colour of Dark Oyster with a Cream Everflex hood, this is a truly wonderful example that must be seen to be truly appreciated. Accompanying the car is the "Official Motor Car Order form" from Rolls-Royce, the interior is luxuriously appointed in Parchment hide and Cumberland stone carpets piped with matching trim, all remain in fabulous condition. The wonderful woodwork is 'Birdseye Maple.' Special additions include a black hide top roll, lambs' wool rugs and Fiamm air horns.

This example comes with a detailed history file that includes the original book pack with stamped service history, the Rolls-Royce build sheets and numerous previous MOT's.
