Designed by the creative genius Alec Issigonis, the famous Mini was originally marketed under two different brand names: Austin and Morris. The Cooper version appeared in 1961, owing its name to the engine tuning by John Cooper, who had won the World Championship with his Formula 1 cars in 1959 and 1960. Aimed primarily at the competition market, the S was soon a very familiar sight on the race tracks and with the rallying fraternity.

Our Mini Cooper S was delivered new to Loxhams Morris Services, Lancashire in July 1963, as stated on the British Motor Industry Heritage certificate that accompanies the car. This fantastic Cooper S has been totally restored without regards to cost to Monte-Carlo Rally specs. Finished in Tartan Red with Old English White roof this Cooper S looks amazing in period correct colours and beautifully crafted works to achieve the very accurate period rally specification.
