The Maserati Mistral is a 2 seater sports car produced from 1963 to 1970, which was designed to succeed the iconic 3500GT. It was the last of Maserati's cars to feature the classic six cylinder double overhead cam engine, which was essentially the same unit that had been fitted to the Grand Prix winning 250Fs of the mid to late 1950s. Available in both coupe and roadster (Sypder) forms the Mistral had a number of innovative features including a shortened square tube chassis, all round disc brakes and Lucas mechanical fuel injection. Both variants were bodied by Maggiora of Turin and were produced in limited numbers with the Spyder being the rarer of the two with just 125 examples in total.
