Period Upgrades included uprated engine with two inch sandcast SU carburettors, uprated gearbox, competition Borrani wire wheels, modified rear wheel arches for easier wheel removal, quick lift jacking points mounted at the centre point of the chassis. The car went on to compete in the Liege - Rome - Liege Rally in 1952, 1953 and 1954 driven by Bohni/Hahn, finishing 11th overall in 1952 and 28th overall in 1954 retiring lying 12th overall at two thirds distance in 1953\.
