Mechanical changes beneath the Series III's more aggressive looking exterior included ventilated front disc brakes, anti-dive front suspension, Lucas transistorised ignition and Adwest power-assisted steering, while automatic transmission was one of the more popular options on what was now more of a luxury Grand Tourer than out-and-out sports car. Flared wheel-arches, a deeper radiator air intake complete with grille, and a four-pipe exhaust system distinguished the Series III from its six-cylinder forbears, plus, of course, that all-important 'V12' boot badge.

Our E-Type is finished in the most beautiful combination of Azure Blue with Cinnamon hide that remains in fabulous condition. According to the heritage document that accompanies the car, this was the original colour scheme when it left the factory in 1973. With its V12 engine and 2+2 seating, the Series 3 E-Type boasts high levels of performance whilst continuing Jaguar's luxurious heritage. It is also equipped with a stunning Webasto sunroof and lovely wire-wheels which enhance the cars delightful appearance.

The accompanying history file is substantial, containing many expired MoT certificates going all the way back to 1981 as well as a vast number of invoices chronicling the vehicles meticulously maintained life.
