I am offering from my private collection a neat BMW 323i E21, model from 06-1982 in Lapis BlueThis BMW model E21 was never welded because it is stainless (rare). After returning from Spain (therefore also stainless), I gave it a major service with new tyres and battery. The body was treated with wax (see also photos of the boot) to preserve against rust. Resprayed in the past due to small scratches and sun damage. It has a valid TUV until next May (German periodic vehicle inspection). A historic registration can easily be requested. What’s also unique is that the dashboard has no cracks as is often the case with others. The engine runs like it should with strong compression, the automatic shifts as it should. The engine doesn’t smoke or anything like that when shifting gears. This 323i also has power steering which was rare for that time. It drives great on a motorway, if needed, the 6-cylinder packs a punch, good for many years of driving pleasure and many thumbs up. Entirely original and unaffected by tuning or decorations from younger fans. Further condition as pictured. Engine is pretty dry from below and doesn’t leak any oil or other liquids. I believe the odometer reading to be original given the car’s condition. The service booklet and other booklets (in Spanish) are there but unfortunately largely illegible as they got wet, they are partially illegible. For the record: There are always a few minor flaws after 36 years. Small scratches on the chrome, bumpers and paint cannot be excluded. I mention this in case there is the odd little scratch I didn’t spot. The exhaust was welded and could be replaced although I don’t believe this is necessary. This car has never had damage whilst in my possession, I don’t know if it had any before. In addition to normal maintenance I don’t expect any further defects, it can be used as a daily driver for many years to come or stored away as an investment. A good and especially stainless 323i is hard to find and rise strongly in value. Have a look on other sites to see if you can find a similar rust-free European model. The car can be viewed and collected in Hannover, Germany. You can drive it yourself or have it collected. Transport can also be arranged at cost.Bids do not include transport and export, unless otherwise indicated. It is recommended to view the vehicle before placing a bid. This to prevent possible disappointment afterwards. Please contact Catawiki for an appointment.
