The V8 Volante is a unique combination of sports car performance and handling, limousine luxury and the sort of open air motoring which has excited and thrilled customers for decades.

Described by former Aston Martin Chairman Victor Gauntlett as, _'a stylish thoroughbred, beautifully built, luxurious, fast and immensely safe,'_ the V8 was built in several variants, one of which was the more exclusive Volante convertible. 1978 saw the introduction of a much awaited Volante convertible, with a power operated fully lined hood.

Volante chassis numbers ran from '15001' to '15849', a total of 849 cars. Total production of V8 Volante with Weber carburettors reached 441 examples of which just 157 are known to be right hand drive, this leaves 266 known left-hand drive cars of which 216 had an automatic gearbox.

Our car is presented in superb condition throughout, beautifully finished in Royal Blue with a Dark Blue Mohair hood, it is a truly spectacular example. Inside, the car is upholstered in its original colour scheme of Magnolia piped with Burgundy as stated on the Aston Martin chassis records that accompany the car. The leather remains supple and the Beige carpets with Onslow piping are in equally impressive condition, as is the Black top-roll.
