ASTON MARTIN DB6 VANTAGE MK1 RHD

Price On Request

The Aston Martin DB6 was introduced in September 1965 as a replacement for the DB5 and featured a revised body shape with a new rear lip-spoiler and abbreviated Kammback tail, which Aston Martin had previously used on their sports-racing prototypes. The new styling significantly improved the car's aerodynamics and handling by reducing tail lift at higher speeds and further performance enhancement was available in the form of a Vantage specification engine, which delivered increased power output from 282 up to 325 bhp.

The example offered here is a rare RHD Mk1 Vantage and one of an even smaller number that had the Vantage engine fitted with triple SU HD8s. It was finished on June 24th 1966 and delivered to its first customer, a Mr John D Wrisdale of Lincoln, on July 21st. The factory build sheets note that the original colour was Mink with a Blue interior and the car came fitted with a number of options in addition to the Vantage engine, including chrome wheels, heated rear screen, power operated aerial and 3 eared wheel spinners.

Having benefitted from a full professional restoration, which has recently been completed by noted specialists Aston Engineering, this delightful DB6 Vantage benefits from an uprated 4.2 Litre engine and is now finished in the highly desirable colour scheme of Silver Birch with Red interior and presents beautifully on a set of new Borrani wheels. It is an original manual car and importantly retains a full set of numbers that match the factory build sheet and comes accompanied with a book that fully documents the restoration work as well as a copy of the Aston Martin Heritage certificate, factory build sheet and service history.
