A spectacular restored `60 Aston Martin DB4 series II. It comes with a rich history. Starting on the 19th September 1960 with its` first owner, Mr Syd Green of Weybridge, Surrey, UK, a renowned racing driver of that era who in the 1950`s co-piloted a Maserati 250 F with Roy Salvadori. Right from the word go, Aston Martin professionally serviced this car. A comprehensive history file accompanies the car and includes a copy of the original factory build sheet with maintenance up to 1969 as well as the original owners manual, many MOT`s, service history and invoices. The car was sold in 1991 to a Mr Brafman of Richmond Surrey who undertook the cars` first restoration. The whole process has been photographed and has accompanying extensive written details. IN 1996 the car was sold to its third owner, a Mr. Baguette of Portsmouth, UK. The car was mainly used on Jersey were he had his second house. 9 years later in 2005, the car was sold to Dr Wagner, its` fourth and last owner. During 2006 -2007 Le Riche of Jersey undertook a complete restoration of the car, again fully documented with photographs and detailed invoices totalling over £ 57.000, - Le Riche is an internationally renowned specialist restorer can count a number of prizes to his CV at the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d 'Elégance. The original Connolly leather trim and Wilton carpets were refurbished. As one may expect, the bodywork looks to be in superb condition throughout, with high-quality finishes and fit to its panels. It has been finished in the iconic Aston Martin colour 'Snow Shadow Grey` which is complemented by the Burgundy red Connolly leather trim and Borrani wire wheels. The engine was upgraded to Vantage specification to include three HD8 SU carburettors as opposed to the standard twin version, boosting the power output to 270bhp in the process. At the same time, the cylinder head was changed to accommodate the use of unleaded petrol. Naturally, the car has retained its` matching numbers engine and gearbox. This car not only looks the part, the mechanics are second to none as well. A superbly restored 4-owner DB4 with an exceptional provenance!
