Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce model year 1960 in an excellent condition !! This is a very special Giulietta Sprint Veloce with a limited edition of only 101 pieces! Comes from third owner. Delivered new in America and since the early 90's in the Netherlands. A few years ago is this Sprint Veloce completely ‘’bare metal‘’ restored and technically overhauled into every detail. The condition before the restoration was perfect as well. It still has 80% of its original sheet metal. The car was in such good condition that only the floor of the trunk needed some attention. The body is tight with beautiful thin paint and perfect panel fittings. It has a very nice interior with all original details. Technically perfect so works and drives great! This car is a special one of a small series. Below a small explanation: After the summer break in 1959, the 101 engine was introduced and from that moment all Giulietta's have been made with this new engine. For Sprints was the first 101 engine number AR1315 * 20001 *. From September 1959, however, there was no Sprint and Spider Veloce produced because apparently the 101 Veloce engine was not yet ready for production. Probably under pressure from Hoffman was a small series Sprint and Spider Veloces from January 1960 built for the US market which were equipped with the "old" 750 Veloce engine. For the Sprint Veloce are the chassis numbers AR1493 * 11001 * t / m * 11 101 *, so there are only 101 pieces and for the Spider Veloce are the chassis numbers AR1493 * 07501 * t / m * 07612 *, so 112 pieces. The numbers of the engines for these cars are the same as the 750 Veloces model year 1959. This is a unique car, one of the 101 units built with a proper engine! Only in May 1960 were the first Veloces of type 106 delivered which were based on the 101 engine. This is model number 750, in September they started with the 101 model number.
