Intended to be the spiritual successor to Chevron's iconic B8, the GR8 was designed to replicate the agility, lightness and excellent power to weight ratio of this highly successful sixties GT, whilst taking advantage of subsequent advances in race car technology and aerodynamics. Weighing approximately 600 kgs, the GR8 is powered by Cosworth's superb 260 bhp two litre YD engine. Fitted with a Hewland JFR 5 speed sequential gearbox, AP brakes and fully adjustable supension with Proflex spring damper units.

Chassis number 6 has had only 30 hours use from new and has been professionally maintained and upgraded. Rebuilt and enhanced by Martin O'Connell in 2011, including fitment of side impact bars and a thicker Dural floor. Front end modified and strengthened by Track Torque Racing in 2012. The car has also benefitted from modified half-shafts and front wishbones and regular oil and filter changes.

Raced successfully by Jeff Hodgson and John Murphy, this one-owner car has never been over-revved or crashed and is in superb condition throughout. Complete with mounted slicks, running spares and a fitted indoor cover. Excellent Brian James RS3 Race Shuttle available by separate negotiation.
