The Jalpa was a development of the earlier Silhouette intended to fill the role of a more ‘affordable’ Lamborghini, being much less expensive than the flagship Countach and being also designed by Bertone. Compared to the Countach, the Jalpa was designed to be much easier to drive, having better visibility and being more tractable in heavy traffic and at slow speeds. Fitted with a 3.5 litre double overhead camshaft version of the V8 engine used in the Silhouette, producing 255 bhp.

Only 420 Jalpas were made between 1982 and 1988 of which just 35 were RHD, making this a very rare car indeed. Furthermore this lovely example has travelled only 50,000 kms from new, having spent some time in a private collection in the Channel Islands.
