This stunning 308 was purchased from ourselves two years ago and immediately the new fastidious owner commissioned our trim department to recover the seats and dash. It also had a paint refresh, but has covered less than 1,000 miles in that time.

This car has distinctive flared arches in the style of the "competizione" Michelotto versions, made of steel and invisibly let in to standard front & rear wings allowing it to take the non-standard wide magnesium "Stratos" design wheels. It is unclear where and when this was completed, but inspection reveals the metal arches are of a standard expected from factory finish. In addition the car has special high lift camshafts, close-ratio gearbox with particularly high first gear and ANSA sports exhaust.

Finished in black with black leather interior it was bought by a US race mechanic (its second owner) early in its life. Upon importing it into the US he discovered that, due to its modifications, it was not easily "Federalised" to meet the particularly stringent US requirements for street use, possibly because it was somewhere in between a road car and track car. He was unsure as to what to do with it, so it therefore remained in storage, unused for 25 years.

It was then purchased by its third owner, an Austrian, who ordered a full re-commissioning mechanical refreshing to be carried out to the highest standards. We then purchased the car for our client. The overall condition of the car leads us to believe the exceptional low mileage may well be genuine and is supported by the previous owner.
