1966 Ford Mustang 289 CID V8 3 Speed Manual

US$19,995.00

This gorgeous blue 1966 Ford Mustang is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. There was a lot of unbeleiveable things going on in 1966, Willie Mays signed a 130000 dollar contract with the Giants, Reggie Jackson got passed up in the draft by the Mets, and John Lennon claimed the Beatles were bigger than Jesus. America was starting to make a monumental change which was also true in the car industry. Just 18 months prior Ford had released a little car called the Mustang which in turn created a whole new segment, the Pony Car. These were cars that the emerging youth market was crying for. Sporty, good looking, and reasonably priced the Mustang would sell a million models before 66 a record still to this day. This 66 has gone through a ton work to bring it to its current condition. Beginning in late 2010 the Stang was painted the current vibrant blue that you see now. During this process all of the emblems including the gas cap were replaced giving it a very fresh look. With the exterior having head turning looks something had to be done to the worn out engine. Going through a complete rebuild in 2013 the including a new fuel pump/ starter aluminum radiator and chrome alternator. Topped off with an Edelbrock 4 brl that had new braided lines ran from the new gas tank fuel is not an issue. Completing the motor build was better flowing intake giving this small block just the right mix. Taking care of the fumes is a fresh exhaust with a set of flowmasters giving it the right tone. With the pony looking and running great the next thing to be tackled was the interior. Upgraded to the sought after pony interior with the matching carpet including heavier insulation it now not only looks great but is a pleasure to drive. With the clutch including linkage and flywheel just replaced this pony is run to gallop. Topped off with a set of the classic torq thrust II wheels this blue coupe wants to run.
