The Shadow coffee table is a pure celebration of the natural beauty of wood; knots, cracks, imperfections and all. New for 2016, the Shadow line uses salvaged California logs which are milled at the Studio Roeper sawmill and air-dried on-site for several years. This allows Senior Craftsman, Florian Roeper, to lay out the Shadow's tabletop using a book match technique, which accentuates the repetition of pattern and is only possible when all of the slabs come from the same tree. Inlays and blackened steel butterflies are integrated as design accents. Each piece is finished and oiled by hand to such a buttery rich smoothness that it's impossible not to reach out and touch it.
