Designed in 1955 by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, the Series 7 is a further development of the classic Ant chair. This four-legged, stackable chair represents the culmination of the lamination technique, which Jacobsen exploited to create its iconic shape. The pressure-molded veneer shell, with an inner veneer of beech and an outer veneer of ash stained to keep the wood grain visible, sits atop tubes of chromed steel.
