Set of two brass and chromed floor lamps by Ronald Homes for Conelight, 1960s

US$1,910.89

Unique set consisting of two different, but matching and rare floor lamps by Ronald Homes for Conelight Limited.

The lamps are made of copper plated aluminium and chromed stainless steel. The shades of the lamps are similar; they are adjustable in height and rotatable. The copper plated aluminium parts give the set a sophisticated and chic appearance.

The smaller version of the two lamps has a round base and has one shade. The measurements of this piece are: height 120 cm / 48 inch, width of the shade 12.5 cm / 5 inch, depth of the shade 21.5 cm / 9.5 inch and the diameter of the base is 19 cm / 8 inch.

The higher version has a square base and two shades. The measurements of this piece are: height 132 cm / 52 inch, width of the shade 12.5 cm / 5 inch, depth of the shade 21.5 cm / 9.5 inch and the sides of the base are 20.5 cm / 9 inch.

Both pieces are in very good condition considering their age and the material used. There is a small dent in the shade of the smaller version (see second and penultimate picture) and both lamps have some minor traces of usage.

Only for sale as a set. The price is for the set.

These lamps are regularly wrongly attributed to Architectural Lighting Company (designer Peter Nelson), to Baltensweiler and to Lyfa. As indicated by Charlotte and Peter Fiell they are designed by Ronald Homes and produced by Conelight Limited.
