It was George Carwadine who created this fixture in 1932\\. Initially, it was reserved for use in the workshop but from 1934, Original 1227 has gradually been developed for home use. 2009 saw the reissue of this lamp by Anglepoise, English manufacturer. The simple but original design (worthy of the name) fits all universes. As this lamp has articulated arms, it will be easy to change their orientation as needed and desired style. The success of the 1227 original is such that it is featured on the stamps of the Royal Mail.
