The opulent central chandelier of Prague's Estates Theatre, site of the 1878 premiere of Mozart's _Don Giovanni_, was the inspiration for this hand-blown glass fixture from Lasvit. Designers Jan Plechác and Henry Wielgus distilled the crystal and stained-glass original to its essence by making an outline of the opera house's chandelier and then rotating the silhouette to create a three-dimensional shape. Says Plechác, "We wanted to make something very simple, but with big emotions."
