Once the design was sculpted in clay, it was then scanned back into a computer to be refined, using the process of reverse engineering to complete. The back is low, with a beautiful curve that extends from arm to arm. It sits on slimline flanged aluminum feet. Woodgate believes that designers need to use every possible tool at their disposal to create lasting and timeless pieces. Linear uses intuition and technology in equal measure.

European hardwood frame, zig-zag springs, jute webbing, hessian straps and covered with a mix of materials that includes natural fibers, animal hair and wool. It has a fully covered frame and an upholstered zig-zag sprung seat.
