This 1930's French Louis XVI-style commode is made of wood ebonized in a rich black color with a lacquered finish. The curved sides of the chest is accented by ornate brass decor. The ormolu on the edges feature a woman's face surrounded by scrolls, acanthus leaves, and fabric swags. There are five drawers, three on the top row and two larger drawers below. The drawers feature ornate drawer pulls and keyhole plates. The top of the commode features a rouge and white marble top with a curved beveled edge. This commode is sturdy, elegant, and ready to be used in any home for years to come.
