Emanating from an acute, 17-degree angle, this V-shaped conference table provides the perfect vantage point from which to launch your next meeting. Fabricated from two, (up to) 24’ long full-length outer wing flaps of the C130 Hercules, this is one of MotoArt’s largest and most ambitious works. Designers/artists Dave Hall and Donovan Fell clearly pulled out all the stops in creating this incredible piece of airplane furniture. After nearly 500 man-hours of labor, with a painstaking attention to detail, this one-of-a-kind prototype emerged. With strong definitive lines forming a solid and contemporary presence, the Lockheed V Shaped C130 Conference Table is more than an extremely functional piece of custom furniture – it’s an authoritative and confident statement for a work place. The mirror-polished flaps comprise a total of 48 gleaming feet of surface area, although it can be made shorter. They are supported by ten customized aluminum dual I-beam legs and the mirror polished finish is capped with 1-1/2" of Plexiglass. The Plexiglass stand-offs, which support the hearty 1/2" tempered glass top, integrate seamlessly without detracting from this exquisitely detailed piece. It seats up to 24 (although smaller sizes are available) and is equipped with a strategically placed computer access port. Hall and Fell call it a “veritable, tour de force”, but clients and visitors to the conference room will likely call it “awe-inspiring”.
