Published in Europe by Vitra, the bench designed by George Nelson in 1946 became an icon of modernist design of the mid-twentieth century, combining aesthetics and functionality. The formal language of clear and straight lines of the Bench revealed the formation of George Nelson. Like many design classics, the Bench offers a wide range of uses, and can also serve as bench side table. It is made of natural ash slats and a black lacquered ash base.
