Antique French writing desk from Napoleon III era. Furniture in palisander and rosewood woods richly decorated with gilded and chiselled bronzes. Double desk with 6 drawers (three on each side) difficult to find and of particular construction. Top covered in faux leather (replaced during restoration) chiselled and gilded, wooden band and border in gilded brass. Writing table supported by four legs adorned with bronze feet. Furniture restored, complete with a working key, in excellent condition
