This pair of French Louis XVI-style bergeres dates to the 1860's. The carved frames are made of gilt wood with a beautiful distressed finish. The frames are adorned with decorative motifs, acanthus leaves, rosettes, and fluting. The seats have been completely restored with new blue velvet upholstery with double piping trim details. The seats have a padded back and arm rests and coil springs in the seats for added comfort and support. This pair of armchairs is sturdy, elegant, and ready to be used for many years to come.
