The Port Dundas distillery distils no more, though that doesn't stop us from bottling up their tasty single grain Scotch whisky! If you've ever wondered what grains go into grain whiskies, this label is a wealth of information - you can see malted barley (popular in a particular type of whisky that you may know about) as well as wheat, corn, oat, blue corn, spelt, rye, triticale (related to quadrotriticale, a tribble's favourite treat), quinoa, sorghum and millet!

Tasting note:

Nose: Red berry sweetness as it opens, before becoming nutty - lots of almond and hazelnut notes develop.
Palate: Still nutty, though now with chunks of white chocolate. Savoury notes of peppery crackers appear later.
Finish: Nutmeg and cinnamon spiciness gives it a bit of heat on the finish.
