The Hanyu distillery was situated in Hanyu City, north-west of Tokyo, and originates from a sake-making operation, ran by the Akuto family. It sadly went out of business in 2000; however, its remaining stock remains highly coveted. This bottle is a single malt whisky from Hanyu. Distilled in 2000, was matured in Cask #955 before being bottled in 2015\\. It was especially released for the Hong Kong market with only 235 bottles available.
