Brand: Delamain Cognac

Delamain Vesper Grande Champagne Cognac is a blend made from different old eaux-de-vies. The 100% Grande Champagne cognac is brought to consumption strength by the gradual addition of "vieilles faibles," very old, weak Grande Champagne Cognacs of 15 percent alcohol content. The eaux-de-vie used in this blend are selected from growers and distillers of the region, and every cognac is aged in a seperate barrel, then matured together, but longer than the Pale & Dry cognac. The procedure of ageing seperately, and then bringing the eaux-de-vie together, in order to age them together in one 350 litre Limousin oak cask is called "marriage". This cognac was introduced to the market in 1953, the label is a cellar engraving from 1790 by J.J. de Boissière.
