Chateau de Montifaud Héritage L3 50Cognac is a cask strength cognac. Currently stored in old casks, this cognac has come down to less than 50% alcohol naturally. The blend is created from a blend of eaux-de-vies from between 1947 to 1955. By storing the cognacs in old casks any excess of tannin has been avoided, despite the amount of years aged.

An oxidized cognac ("madérisé") which has nearly attained all its fullness, wit flavors of nuts and cigar boxes, along with tantalizing hints of spices. A supple, round cognac with exceptional rancio.
