The vineyard of château Certan de May, one of the highest in the appellation, is set next to Petrus. Its old vines, with an average age of thirty years, are planted on clay and gravel. Harvested late and thus benefiting from the full maturity of the grapes, this wine of Pomerol reveals a very high level of quality. Its very balanced wine, rich and complex display woody and fruity aromas(cherries, currants, ...). Aging potential is impressive in great vintages.
