Shortly before the outbreak of the Second World War, this Avonside Glenlivet was distilled and placed into oak casks for maturation. Bottled 35 years later at 43% abv, this is a rare opportunity to sample a pre-war Speyside Single Malt.

The nose is rich and plump with hints of buttery burnt toast, orange marmalade and grapes. The palate has apricot and peach flavours, giving way to peaches, orange and melon, with oak and some astringency coming later. The finish is balanced with notes of fruit, oak and spice.
